TECHQUA IKACHI – LAND, MEIN LEBEN is a cry for help in the form of a message in a bottle: restored by Arsenal, this carefully sketched, animated and observed documentary came about when 74-year-old Hopi James Danaqyumptewa invited two Swiss artists, Anka Schmid and Agnes Barmettler, to come to Arizona with him to record the rituals of the Hopi and their struggle against the US government and to prevent them from being forgotten.
